Public Biography
Ever tried making a children’s game as challenging as possible? That’s exactly what this 23-year
old does on a daily basis! Also known as “ValeriEX” on various social media sites, Valerie Moulin
has been in the nuzlocke business ever since the young age of fourteen, and has had the official
title of “Ultimate Pokémon Nuzlocker” for about three years. The title was given to her after she won
the “National Pokémon Nuzlocke Super-Tournament”, where a hundred different competitors raced to have the quickest cleartime to “Pokémon Emerald Kaizo”, a ROM hack infamous for being the hardest game of the franchise to many, regular players and nuzlockers alike…all without whiting out.
What’s more, she has an outstanding ratio in her playthroughs - nine times out of ten, she clears through her nuzlockes, and only challenges herself even more every time. How does she do it? The girl with pink locks simply tells interviewers that it “takes a lot of practice, calculations, luck and patience in order to clear through these games” with a smile and says that with time, anyone can pull off their very own nuzlocke if they wanted. “I cleared my first one because I was inspired by something I love - so, I’m sure you can too!”
